The Sun Queens death

This front page of the Sun newspaper follows a colour scheme of black, white and purple. The black and white connote and symbolise the sorrowful mourning period of the Queen's death whilst also representing history and the end of an era. The Sun usually contains a red top around the masthead, but in the Souvenir edition it is purple, this has connotations of royalty. The anchorage text glorifies the Queen using phrases such as "devoted service" and "we are proud", this is stereotypical of the right leaning Sun newspaper. The key image is a close up, eye level shot of the Queen and we can see her facial expression is happy. Additionally, the pearl necklace and earrings connote the luxurious lifestyle she lived and ultimately presents the Queen as being a lovely lady who had served the country.
